Under the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the economy and the quality of life of residents, to help customers to resolve the difficulties as well as to follow the directions of the State Bank of Vietnam, VietCredit has proactively and drastically conducted multiple support solutions for customers affected by the epidemic.
The complicated developments in the Covid-19 pandemic have strongly impacted the employment situation of people in 2021. According to General Statistics Office, the number of unemployed people of statutory working age in the second quarter of 2021 was nearly 1.2 million, an increase of 87.1 thousand compared to the previous quarter of 2021. Losing jobs, reducing working hours, etc. have caused a sharp decline in the income of many people, affecting not only daily living expenses but also the ability to pay financial loans.
Understanding the difficulties of customers and following the direction of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), VietCredit has proactively and quickly implemented the policy of restructuring the debt term; exempting or reducing interest and fees; maintaining the classified debt type to assist customers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Circular 14/2021/TT-NHNN issued by SBV.
Through this policy, customers will be able to remove difficulties in loan repayment with practical benefits, such as customers will not be charged overdue interest rates (according to debt type at the time of debt restructure), no penalty of late payment fee during the period of rescheduling the debt term. Besides, customers can actively choose to pay a part or a whole loan to VietCredit to reduce their financial pressure within their affordable finances.
From the early days of implementing this policy, in addition to actively contacting many difficult customers belong to the conditions specified in the Circular, VietCredit has also opened many support channels for customers to contact, such as the channel via VietCredit’s consultants, the registration page on VietCredit’s website, or Customer Services hotline. Depending on the specific case of each customer, VietCredit will evaluate and offer the most appropriate support solution.
